Gravity House is Bega Valley's first indoor climbing gym. We're opening in November 2026. We've been building this with the valley for over a year, with 650+ people following along. The routes are the product. We need someone to make them great.
The Location
Kalaru in Bega Valley, NSW. 5 minutes from Tathra beach. Good surf. Some of the best MTB trails in the state on your doorstep.

The Role
You'll set and strip boulder problems across 300m² of walls, on a regular reset cycle. Fresh blocks, consistent grades, clean movement. Problems that teach something, for everyone from a nervous first-timer to a seasoned climber.
You'll work closely with the gym manager and the founders.
What you'll own:
- Setting: fresh, varied boulder problems across all grades, on a regular reset cycle
- Quality: consistent grading, honest forerunning, movement worth repeating
- Safety: hold checks, safe falls, safe work at height
- Equipment: hold washing, inventory, tools, wall upkeep
- Events: setting for comp nights, youth programs and community events
Who We're Looking For
You're a strong climber who thinks about movement, not just grades. You know why a problem is fun, and you can explain it.
Commercial setting experience is a real plus. If you haven't set commercially but you climb well and you're keen to learn, we want to hear from you too.
You set for everyone. The 6-year-old in the kids zone and the obsessive projecting their hardest climb deserve the same care. No ego routes.
You're organised and safety-conscious, and you're comfortable on ladders, with power tools, working at height.
You're probably right for this if:
- You climb a lot, and you think about why a problem works
- You've set before, commercially or on your home wall
- You can set fun for a kid and a crusher in the same session
- You take feedback well and forerun honestly
- You're comfortable working at height with tools
